The birth Nakshatra selects the first lord. The remaining fraction determines the balance. This implementation uses a mean Gregorian year of 365.2425 days; software using 360-day years can show different dates.
What you get
- Mahadasha timeline and current period
- Nine Antardashas inside each period
- The birth-time balance and calculation convention
Good questions
Why does my first period start before birth?
The full Mahadasha began before birth. Only its remaining balance is lived after birth; the earlier part is shown to explain the calculation.
How sensitive are Dasha dates to birth time?
The Moon moves continuously. A small longitude change shifts the balance, and a Nakshatra boundary changes the starting lord. Treat uncertain times cautiously.
