Keep the context
Read the method and follow a guide for more understanding.
The daily Panchang is evaluated at local sunrise. Tithi uses Moon–Sun elongation, Nakshatra the sidereal Moon, Yoga the sidereal Sun-plus-Moon sum, and Karana a half-Tithi. Vara follows the sunrise-based day.
What you get
- All five Panchang limbs
- Sunrise, sunset and Tithi end
- Your selected city and time zone
Good questions
Why does Panchang change between cities?
Sunrise and sunset depend on location. A factor may change between the sunrise times of two cities, giving different daily labels.
Does this choose a wedding Muhurta?
No. The five limbs are inputs to a larger traditional selection process. This tool does not certify a personalised auspicious wedding time.
